I love to take pictures of flowers. Almost everywhere I go I hone in on beautiful blooms, and particularly so in my little garden (where there are not nearly as many flowers as I would like – I’d blame the children but in all honesty I think it is due to my lack of skills as a gardener)!
I’ve been reading up on and practicing with aperture priority and experimenting with different focal lengths. And this is what I’ve come up with, a few of my favourite floral pictures from the last week or so.
One of my favourite flowering plants is the peony. A few weeks ago I was taking photo after photo after photo of my prized plant in all its blooming glory, but as the petals have almost all fallen off now, and feeling sad looking at the dried petals on the floor, I decided to get creative. It turns out peonies are pretty even after they have finished flowering!
